What to Pack for Benidorm in November—Without Bringing the Entire Wardrobe
A practical packing list for sunny spells, cooler evenings and Fiesta outfits that still let you sit down. Because “just in case” is how a four-night break ends up needing a removals van.

The quick answer
Pack light clothes for the day, long trousers and a jumper for the evening, a lightweight waterproof jacket and shoes you can comfortably walk in. Add swimwear if you fancy it, but give your evening layer priority over your seventh pair of shorts.
Check the forecast shortly before departure. November packing works best when you prepare for a change of mood—both yours and the weather’s.
Think layers, not “summer or winter?”
There is no need to choose between beachwear and dressing for a North Sea fishing expedition. A T-shirt under a jumper, with a light jacket available, gives you room to adjust as the day changes. Sitting in a sheltered sunny spot and walking home after dark are two different packing assignments.
For regional context, AEMET’s 1981–2010 averages for Alicante city give November average daily highs of 20.5°C and lows of 10.3°C. Those are historical figures for Alicante, not a Benidorm forecast or a promise of warmth on your balcony. They explain why packing only for daytime temperatures can leave you wishing you had brought sleeves.
Use the Benidorm forecast close to your trip, including rain and wind. Our Benidorm weather guide helps you compare the seasons if you are still choosing dates.
A sensible starting list for four nights
Adjust this for your plans, laundry options and luggage allowance. You do not need a separate outfit for every tribute act.
- Four daytime tops: choose pieces that work with the same trousers or shorts, rather than four entirely unrelated wardrobes.
- Two versatile bottoms: include at least one pair of long trousers. Add shorts if the forecast and your plans justify them.
- One jumper or cardigan: easy to carry when you do not need it, welcome when you do.
- One lightweight waterproof jacket: useful for a change in weather without filling half the case.
- Comfortable walking shoes: wear your bulkier pair to travel. Pack a second pair only if it earns its space.
- Underwear, socks and nightwear: enough for the stay, with a spare set if you prefer. Glamorous? No. More useful than another novelty shirt? Usually.
- One evening outfit: something comfortable that works with your jacket and shoes. Check any specific venue dress requirements.
- Swimwear and sunglasses: small enough to bring if you want the option. Check whether your accommodation’s pool is open and heated; do not assume.

Your shoes deserve a proper audition
A Benidorm day can involve a promenade walk, a wander through the Old Town and a move between evening venues. Choose shoes you have already worn comfortably for more than the journey from the bedroom mirror to the front door.
If you are bringing dressier shoes, keep the dependable pair as well. The shoes that look fantastic at 8pm can become a formal complaint by midnight. For longer evenings, choose a few nearby places rather than planning a heroic march across the resort: our Old Town bar guide and Poniente bar guide include directions.
Coming for Fiesta? Test the costume at home
First, the dates: the council’s 2026 fiesta listing runs from 6 to 11 November. British Fancy Dress Day is expected on Thursday 12 November; check the organiser’s updates for the final programme. Our November Fiesta guide explains the different celebrations and helps with planning.
Then do the practical costume test. Can you walk, see clearly, use your phone and visit the loo without needing a support team? Can you put a warm layer over it? Does it actually fit inside the luggage you have booked?
Comfortable shoes, a manageable outfit and somewhere secure for your essentials beat impressive wings that need their own boarding pass. Check airline rules before packing costume accessories or props. A photograph of the outfit laid out at home can help you remember the small bits that finish it.
Keep the useful things close to you
Save your accommodation address, booking details and transfer instructions where you can find them quickly. Keep your travel documents, insurance details, essential medication and chargers accessible. Aena recommends carrying medication and important documents in hand luggage.
For your phone, bring a suitable plug adaptor and charging cable. Before the first evening out, open the free Benidorm365 app, save your hotel in Get Me Home and have a look at the entertainment guide. The best time to organise the journey back is before everyone has developed very strong opinions about the next bar.
If you are using a transfer, confirm the drop-off or meeting point rather than relying on a hotel name alone. Our airport transfer guide compares the main options.
The five-minute check before you zip up
- Read your airline’s allowance. Bag sizes, weights and the number of pieces vary. Check the booking you actually bought.
- Check airport security instructions in both directions. Aena’s guidance currently specifies containers no larger than 100ml in a resealable bag of up to one litre for ordinary cabin liquids. Exemptions and additional instructions apply to some items; read the current Aena guidance and your departure airport’s rules.
- Look at the forecast again. Add or remove a layer based on your dates, not a lovely photograph somebody posted in August.
- Leave room for the return. A tightly packed outbound case does not become more generous after a week of holiday shopping.
Then stop packing. If you can get dressed for a mild day, stay comfortable on a cooler evening and cope with a shower, you have covered the important bits. The case does not need to cover every possible personality you might develop on holiday.
