When is the best time to visit Benidorm?

Our starting recommendation is May, June, September or October for a holiday combining outdoor time, sightseeing and nights out. That is an editorial recommendation, not a promise about weather, prices or crowds on your dates.

Beach holiday

Consider June to September. For the hottest part of summer, look at July and August—and choose a hotel with air conditioning.

Choose your beach →

Walking & exploring

Consider spring or autumn if you prefer to plan a day around exploring rather than lying beside a pool.

Explore the Old Town →

Entertainment first

Choose dates around the acts or events you want to see. November fiesta dates deserve a separate check before booking.

For value, compare several departure dates, school holidays and local events. “Out of season” does not automatically mean the cheapest room. Compare places to stay before settling on a month.

Benidorm month by month

Use these practical planning suggestions alongside your hotel’s facilities, your travel dates and the forecast closer to departure.

Benidorm in January

A cooler-weather break

Pack layers for promenade walks and a jacket for evenings. Pick a hotel with indoor facilities if pool time matters.

Benidorm in February

Walking and a change of scene

Good for exploring at your own pace. Check your hotel’s heating and any indoor pool access before booking.

Benidorm in March

Spring exploring

Plan Old Town wandering and sightseeing, with a layer for after sunset. Event dates can change hotel demand.

Benidorm in April

A spring family break

Mix beach walks with days out. Easter and school holidays can make your chosen dates busier; compare the actual dates.

Benidorm in May

An all-round holiday

Our pick for people who want outdoor time without choosing the hottest part of summer. Unheated pools may still feel chilly.

Benidorm in June

Beach days and longer evenings

A good candidate for a beach-focused trip. Allow shade breaks and check attraction opening calendars.

Benidorm in July

A hot summer holiday

Choose air conditioning, keep water handy and move longer walks to cooler parts of the day.

Benidorm in August

A summer beach break

Plan around heat and busy holiday dates. Check hotel cancellation terms and book popular experiences ahead when needed.

Benidorm in September

Late-summer warmth

Our pick for adults who can travel outside school holidays. Keep one flexible indoor plan rather than assuming every day will be dry.

Benidorm in October

Warm days with a backup plan

A good month to consider for walking, beach time and evenings out. Bring a light layer and check seasonal attraction dates.

Benidorm in November

An autumn escape

Consider the November fiestas if entertainment is your priority. Check the event guide and book your exact dates; evenings need layers.

Benidorm in December

A winter change of scene

Aim for relaxed exploring and meals out rather than guaranteed swimming weather. Check Christmas opening hours.

What to pack for your Benidorm holiday

  • Summer: lightweight clothes, a sunhat, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Plan shade breaks.
  • Spring and autumn: clothes you can layer, a light jacket and something for a shower. Check the forecast before closing the suitcase.
  • Winter: a warmer evening layer and comfortable walking shoes. Ask about indoor pools and heating instead of assuming the hotel pool will suit you.
  • Every month: room for a change of plans. A meal in the Old Town or an evening show can be just as much part of the holiday as the beach.

Check individual attraction calendars for your dates—water parks, theme parks and boat trips can have seasonal schedules or weather-related changes. Start with our things to do guide.

Benidorm weather questions

Is October a good time to visit Benidorm?

It is one of our suggested months for a mixed holiday. Keep evenings and possible wet days in mind, and check attraction calendars. Do not book on the assumption that every day will be beach weather.

Is Benidorm warm in November?

The regional reference has an average daytime maximum of about 21°C, with cooler nights. That is a historical average, not a guaranteed daily temperature. Pack layers and check the fiesta guide if the November events are part of your plans.

Can I swim all year?

Air temperature does not tell you sea temperature or whether a hotel pool is heated. Check pool heating, access rules and your own comfort with cooler water. Lifeguard instructions and sea conditions take priority.

Which month is cheapest?

There is no single cheapest month for every hotel and flight. Compare the same room and board basis across different dates, including luggage and transfer costs. Events and school holidays can change the picture.

Does this page show a live forecast?

No. It helps you choose a season. Use the app’s weather display and the official AEMET Benidorm forecast close to your trip, and follow current weather warnings.
